Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

After you submitted your application and paid the application fee through OUAC, you were prompted to download your Application Summary Form. If you didn’t download it then, you can revisit your OUAC account to retrieve the document. Log back in using your OUAC username and PIN. Download the application onto your computer and then upload it along with your other supplementary materials into LORIS.
You must upload a digital copy of all transcripts and graduation certificates (where applicable) for every postsecondary educational institution (college or university) you have attended, including those at which a degree or diploma was not completed. Current or previous Laurier students must also upload a Laurier transcript as part of the application.
You may not need to order and scan official documents at this stage. In most cases, you can download an unofficial transcript, including your grades and academic standing, from the institution’s website. The document must be contained in one PDF file (rather than a separate file for each page) and include:
The university reserves the right to request official transcripts for assessment if these requirements are not met.
If you are offered admission to Laurier, you will be asked to submit hard copies of your official documents. Please see Step 3 for more information.
Laurier reserves the right to cancel admission or registration in any cases where documentation or information is found to have been incomplete, misrepresented or falsified. Laurier may disclose information on falsified documents with other Canadian universities, as well as with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Confidential references are required in support of an application for admission to Laurier and must be submitted using our online form. Three to five days after you complete your application through OUAC, your referees will receive an email with the link to this form and instructions on how to complete it. We will not accept letters in place of the completed form. Contact your referees before you apply online to confirm their availability (it must be completed within 14 days), email and mailing address.
Some programs require tests such as the GMAT or GRE. In such cases, you will be prompted to upload your scores on LORIS.
Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential to pursue graduate studies at Laurier. Consult the International Applicants page for more information about English proficiency tests.
For permanent Canadian residents, evidence of your status in Canada is required. You must provide a photocopy of your signed "Record of Landing" or photocopies of both sides of your permanent resident card.
Applicants who have sponsorship funding (i.e. from an external organization or government) must email their sponsorship letter to fgps@wlu.ca. Once received, the letter will be attached to the application. The letter must include the following information:
Other documentation, including a statement of intent, resumé and writing sample may be required. Consult the application checklist for your program to find out what is required.
