Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Co-op education is a paid work-experience program that integrates your academic learning with practical experience.

You have the chance to explore different career options, develop marketable skills for the future, earn money and expand your network of mentors and potential employers.

Not only will you graduate with relevant work experience on your resumé, you’ll also be prepared to pursue diverse positions and career paths.

How Co-op Works

You have two to four co-op work terms, depending on your program.

  • Co-op terms are 12 to 16 weeks on average.
  • Co-op staff at Laurier support you throughout the process and assist with your career planning, job search and interview preparation.
  • Apply to co-op job postings and attend interviews when selected by employers.
  • Learn about business conduct and meeting employer expectations.
