Dr. Vladimir Kitaev, Department of Chemistry Dr. Vladimir Kitaev has joined the Chemistry Department at Laurier in July 2004. Dr. Kitaev comes to Laurier from the Chemistry Department at the University of Toronto where he worked on the synthesis of well-defined monodisperse nanoparticles; their self-assembly for functional applications, and colloidal photonic crystals. Dr. Kitaev has over 20 referreed journal publications and the chemistry department is very excited to add his expertise to their existing strengths in chemical research and teaching.
