Waterloo – Easter is on Sunday, April 21, and Monday, April 22. The Jewish holiday, Passover, begins the evening of Friday, April 19 and ends the evening of Saturday, April 27. There are several Laurier experts available to comment on both holidays.
David M. Haskell, associate professor in Laurier’s Digital Media and Journalism and Religion and Culture programs, is an expert on adult and youth religious engagement and Christianity and media in Canada. Contact information: 519.756.8228 x5808 or dhaskell@wlu.ca.
Chris Klassen, instructor in Laurier’s Religion and Culture program, is an expert on paganism and its history and can speak about the history behind the symbolism at Easter and Passover, such as eggs and bunnies. Contact information: cklassen@wlu.ca.
