Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

For Immediate Release
Waterloo – The Robert Langen Art Gallery on Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo campus will present its latest exhibition, In) Formation by French artist Alice Teichert, from June 10 to July 5.
In) Formation is a mixed-media installation that explores the possibilities of memory, language, sound and moments of understanding. Teichert’s paintings are renowned for their ability to engage viewers with their holographic-like depth and luminosity.
Born in Paris, France, Teichert studied music, philosophy and visual arts in France and Belgium. Since 1989, her works have been featured in more than 30 solo exhibitions across North America, Europe and Australia.
In) Formation is the inaugural exhibition in a partnership between the Robert Langen Art Gallery and Laurier Library to bring art from leading commercial galleries across Ontario to Waterloo Region. Oeno Gallery in Bloomfield, Ont., is the first gallery to partner as part of the project. Selected works by Teichert are currently on exhibit and available for purchase at Oeno Gallery.
“We hope the pilot project will create community synergies and cultural connections, as well as inspire art collectors, seasoned and new,” said Suzanne Luke, curator of the Robert Langen Art Gallery.
Members of the public are invited to view In) Formation at the Robert Langen Art Gallery, located in the Laurier Library. The gallery is open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
