Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

I received my PhD in Sport Management from Western University in 2013 and my Master of Arts in Applied Health Sciences, with a specialization in Sport Management (2008), and my Bachelor of Sport Management (2005) both from Brock University. Prior to joining Laurier, I held a faculty position at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, and St. John's University in Queens, New York.
The main focus of my research is on organizational behaviour in sport and media representations of athletes. Specifically, I have examined factors that may contribute to volunteer satisfaction and retention, and differences in athlete presentation in the digital realm.
