My current research is in Food Security and Food Sovereignty in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. I'm part of the Laurier Northern Sustainable Food Systems Research Group where I'm working on the Future Harvest Partnership project. I'm helping to map out how store-bought food gets up North, studying the carbon impact of Northern logistics, and working on how to improve the effectiveness of the Nutrition North Canada subsidy.
I'm also part of the Children's Services Policy Research Group, working on evaluating the effectiveness of ICFI grocery supports (food vouchers). This has become an advocacy project as well, as funding for the voucher program is precarious.
