Shirley Lichti has an extensive background in sales, marketing, advertising, promotion and training developed during a fourteen-year career with IBM. She has worked in Canada, the Caribbean and Japan and has experience in both the public and private sectors.
After leaving IBM, Lichti formed Marketing Magic, providing marketing communication consulting and training. She has worked with small companies to Fortune 500 organizations.
A people-person and dedicated educator, Lichti teaches Marketing and is the author of a Marketing textbook currently in its sixth edition. She is an active board member and volunteer in many local organizations, including the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region and Beyond Housing. The Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo presented her with its Women of Achievement Award.
