Tracking COVID‑19 Cases on Campus

Updated: Oct. 29, 2020

Please be aware there are cases of COVID-19 among the Laurier community.

This page is updated regularly and includes cases of COVID-19 in employees and students where there is both confirmation of a positive test reported to us and there is information indicating that the positive case may have been on campus while they were infectious.

Note: As of October 27, 2020, Laurier has updated its process to maintain a count of the confirmed on-campus cases in the last 14 days. This approach is in line with the approach being taken by other universities. A complete list of all cases reported prior to the last 14 days can be found in the Historical Notices section below.

If you are experiencing symptoms, please follow either the protocols for sudents with COVID-19 symptoms or the protocols for employees with COVID-19 symptomsYou can help our community stay COVID safe by following public health guidelines and safety protocols.

When there are confirmed positive cases, the university adheres to privacy legislation that requires the identities of individuals to be kept confidential.

It is highly recommended that all students, faculty and staff download the Government of Canada's COVID Alert app, which can let people know of possible exposures before any symptoms appear.
