Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Laurier’s academics are the reason you’re here. We get that. But this is your home, too – and if you’re going to get the full Laurier experience, well, you’ve got to make this place your own, right?

Getting Involved

Don’t just sit there and study. Join a club. Apply to co-op. Volunteer. There are tonnes of different ways you can get involved at Laurier – we’re sure you’ll find one (or two, or three!) that will be perfect for you.

Experience Our Campuses

Explore our campuses and learn what you can do in the cities of Waterloo and Brantford.

Athletics and Recreation

Last year, more than 8,000 students participated in our award-winning intramural programs, and our 13 varsity teams are a huge part of campus life.

Startup founders, leaders of growth companies, innovators in large enterprises and investors – Laurier continues to nurture Canada's foremost entrepreneurial talent.

Laurier's Sustainability Office is committed to environmental awareness and action on campus and beyond. We integrate sustainability programming into all facets of your campus life, including classes, residence, transportation, food and more!

We guarantee residence to all first-year students who submit applications and deposits by June 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Whether you’re looking to stay on campus or head out on your own, the process starts here.

Services for Students

Life can get pretty overwhelming sometimes – we’re here to help. Our team can support your academic success, career goals, wellness and more.

More than 6,000 Laurier students hold a co-curricular record – these students, on average, have a 10% higher GPA than their peers.
