Co-op is designed to provide you with opportunities to develop skills and gain real-world experience in the career path of your interest. Co-op students gain a competitive advantage over other applicants by completing modules and assignments focused on cover letter and resume writing, as well as mock interviews, within the required Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course.
During your co-op work terms, you'll learn to challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, think critically and work cooperatively.
The Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science co-op programs include work terms in the spring after your second and third years of study.

Gather technical information. Write and edit high-quality technical product documentation.
Photograph and catalogue artifacts in the museum’s collection. Cross-check records and inventories.
Analyze financial statements, asset with quote generation. Complete rating for exposure of pricing for underwriters.
Perform site analysis. Provide eco-friendly landscape designs and horticulture suggestions to residents.
Assist residents with their physiotherapy programs and participate in planning games, fitness classes, and walking groups.
Gather technical information. Write and edit high-quality technical product documentation.
Plan, organize and lead educational and recreational activities. Communicate with parents about their children’s experiences.
Promote fundraising and refugee awareness events by developing online and print marketing materials, and oversee event logistics.
Develop policies for screening volunteers, identify risk management strategies and deliver training sessions.
Implement height-adjustable workstations, complete cost-benefit analysis for localized exhaust ventilation systems and recommend corrective actions for the ergonomic hazards involved with stacking goods.
