Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

To log in to LORIS for the first time:
If you enter the wrong PIN five times, LORIS will lock you out.
To reset your PIN to your birthdate, email gradadmissions@wlu.ca to have it reset.
LORIS is a secure self-service site where you can view your application and upload the supplemental materials. Registered Laurier students also use LORIS to add and drop courses, apply for bursary funding, update address information, retrieve tax documentation, review (and accept/decline) any offered financial support, request official Laurier transcripts and more.
When your application is complete (and submitted), you are still able to view your application and to save a copy for your records.
Once your application is submitted, the application is received in real-time and no further confirmation of receipt of application is provided.
After you submitted your application and paid the application fee through OUAC, you were prompted to download your Application Summary Form.
If you didn’t download it then, you can revisit your OUAC account to retrieve the document. Log back in using your OUAC username and PIN.
Download the application onto your computer and then upload it along with your other supplementary materials into LORIS.
All postsecondary educational institutions must be declared on your OUAC application. This includes transcripts of all past and current degree(s), diploma(s), postsecondary studies for which academic credit was earned (including on letter of permission or exchange), in-progress courses, incomplete postsecondary education and transfer credit courses.
Upload unofficial transcripts into LORIS at time of completing your application.
Documents must be dated within the past six months.
Ensure that each transcript indicates all courses, grades, awarding of degree/diploma/degree certificate (if applicable), your full name, student ID number, and full name of the institution. Include the grading scale/key/legend as part of your transcript upload. Transcripts must be uploaded as one .pdf file per institution attended.
Transcripts must be in the original language and include a certified translation if the transcript is not in English.
Current or previous Laurier students can access their transcript via LORIS.
The university reserves the right to request official transcripts for assessment if these requirements are not met.
If you are offered admission to Laurier, you will be required to submit hard copies of your official documents. Please see Step 3: Accept Your Offer for more information.
Laurier reserves the right to cancel admission or registration in any cases where documentation or information is found to have been incomplete, misrepresented or falsified. Laurier may disclose information on falsified documents with other Canadian universities, as well as with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Confidential references are required in support of an application for admission to Laurier and must be submitted using our online form.
Three to five days after you complete your application through OUAC, your referees will receive an email with the link to this form and instructions on how to complete it.
We will not accept letters or email attachments in place of the completed form.
Contact your referees before you apply online to confirm their availability (it must be completed within 14 days), their email address and mailing information. Do not record your email as the contact for your referees.
See our Reference Letters and Referee Process FAQs for additional information.
Some programs require tests such as the GMAT or GRE. In such cases, you will be prompted to upload your scores on LORIS.
Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential to pursue graduate studies at Laurier. Consult the English Proficiency Requirements page for more information about English proficiency tests.
For permanent Canadian residents, evidence of your status in Canada is required. You must provide a photocopy of your signed "Record of Landing" or photocopies of both sides of your permanent resident card.
Applicants who have sponsorship funding (i.e. from an external organization or government) must email their sponsorship letter to gradadmissions@wlu.ca. Once received, the letter will be attached to the application. The letter must include the following information:
Other documentation, including a statement of intent, resumé and writing sample may be required. Consult the application checklist for your program to find out what is required.
