Michael Pavlin is an associate professor in the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Before joining Laurier, Pavlin was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago Booth School Of Business. He received his PhD in Operations Management and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
Michael is the director of the MSc in Management Analytics and has developed and teaches business analytics courses at the senior undergraduate and graduate level.

His areas of active research include the development of analytical methods for applications in energy markets, healthcare and services. His interests also include the economics pricing and contracts in services and supply chain management. Journals in which his work has been published include Operations Research, Management Science and Manufacturing and Service Operations Management.
