If you are a student and you would like to grant consent for the release of information regarding your application to a third party (such as a parent or guardian), you must submit an authorization of information release form. To request this form, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fall Admission Laurier is still accepting applications for Fall 2020 admission. It is important to check your email often because we will be communicating with you by email over the next few months.
To ensure you receive our emails, add email@example.com and/or firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book or “safe sender” list in your email account. You should also make sure the email address you submitted to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) is up-to-date because that’s how we’ll be communicating with you from now on.
Once you have applied to Laurier, you will receive an email from us confirming that we have received your application.
Application information is processed in the order in which it is received from OUAC. If you do not receive a confirmation message from us within five days of applying, please check your junk mail first. If you have still not received our email, let us know and we will send you a confirmation. Call 1.519.884.0710 x3385 or email us at email@example.com.
You'll need to use LORIS to complete your application. Your confirmation of application email will contain your LORIS account login information. LORIS is Laurier's Online Registration and Information System.
You will be able to view your application status online through LORIS. You should also use LORIS to view a list of documents we require for your application and to view when we receive your documents.
You'll find a list of documents we require to assess your application in LORIS. These may include transcripts and/or proof of English proficiency. Transcripts must be submitted electronically no later than May 12, 2021. If you're an Ontario high school applicant, don't worry – your school will send us your transcripts.
You should submit an Applicant Background Summary (ABS) form within two weeks of applying. The last date to submit is April 28, 2021.
You are also encouraged to apply for an entrance bursary. You could be eligible to receive up to $1,500 for your first year at Laurier. The deadline to apply is May 7, 2021.
We'll email you when you receive an admission decision. Your official offer of admission letter will be posted in LORIS.
To apply for residence, you'll need to complete the online residence application by June 1, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. If you don't plan to stay in residence, be sure to secure other accommodations.
Note: In the event that the university is instructed to implement physical distancing measures that significantly decrease our allowable occupant load in residence, we may be required to modify our residence guarantee policy to ensure that residents are living in a safe environment. We will promptly notify all applicants if there are changes to our service delivery model.
The deadline to submit your final transcripts is July 15, 2021. If you're an Ontario high school applicant, your high school will send us your final transcripts.
