Chamber Music (Diploma)

Laurier’s diploma in Chamber Music offers a unique and enriching opportunity for aspiring musicians to advance their skills in a focused and collaborative environment. Designed for those who have completed an undergraduate degree or diploma in music, this program provides an ideal pathway for continuing your musical education and deepening your expertise. 

Throughout the program, you will engage in rigorous training with our distinguished faculty, who bring a wealth of experience and insight to your development. Are you already part of a pre-formed quartet or group? We highly encourage you to apply together. By studying as a group, you can achieve a high degree of musical synergy and performance excellence.

Diploma Highlights

  • Penderecki String Quartet: Learn from educators and members of the Penderecki String Quartet as they extend their expertise worldwide, enriching institutions like Bloomington Indiana University’s String Academy and the Beijing Conservatory. 
  • Public Performances: Between the informal and formal collaborations with faculty and instructors and the many public performance opportunities available in the vibrant Kitchener-Waterloo community, you’ll have plenty of chances to perform during your diploma. 
  • Active Courses: Advance your knowledge and skills with courses in the history of music genres, chamber music and ensemble.
