Top Experiences

Here are some of the top ways our students love applying what they learn throughout their degree:

  • Mentorship, Lessons and Studio Classes
Take lessons with a dedicated studio teacher who gets to know your strengths, style and goals. They’ll support your musical growth through personalized instruction and feedback. You will perform, learn from your peers and build confidence in a supportive musical community.
  • Coach-Accompanists
Work with a professional pianist (your coach-accompanist) who rehearses with you, offers feedback and helps you feel performance-ready for lessons, recitals and juries. This essential support is available for vocalists and instrumentalists.
  • Performance Opportunities
Join faculty-led ensembles such as orchestra, jazz ensemble, choirs and chamber music. Perform throughout the year, take part in studio recitals and share your music in casual on- and off-campus settings. Whether you’re on stage or in a community space, you’ll gain confidence and versatility by performing often.
  • Placements and Work Experience
Gain real-world experience through placements with community organizations, education settings and faculty-led research. Work in on-campus music jobs or take part in international exchanges that expand your perspective and build your resumé.
