Apply Your Learning
Make the most out of your university career by taking advantage of all that Laurier has to offer you. Volunteer work, campus clubs, leadership programs, studying abroad, work experience – there are so many ways you can extend your classroom experience into the real world.
Here are just a few examples of the experiences you’ll have access to in the Health Science program:
- Join the Faculty of Science Residence Learning Community to enhance your academic and social success.
- Participate in an experiential learning module from Stand Up for Health (SU4H) as part of your Social Determinants of Health course.
- Conduct research in a faculty member’s lab. Apply for a FOSSA Research Scholarship or an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award to receive funding.
- Enjoy summer research opportunities in hospitals (e.g., Grand River, Sunnybrook, SickKids).
- Be hired as an Instructional or Research Assistant in Health Sciences or Biology.
