Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics is one of the most prestigious and selective schools in Canada. We teach our students to think for themselves, ensuring they can adapt to a world of ever-growing complexity. Our alumni are making a difference in the world – and you can, too.
We have more than 6,000 students enrolled in our full- and part-time undergraduate, graduate and diploma programs, making us one of the largest business schools in Canada.
The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics develops leaders with skills in management and economics for a rapidly changing and complex global environment. It seeks to advance knowledge and practices in these fields by supporting both theoretical and applied research. Further, the Lazaridis School strives to serve business and its community by fostering mutually beneficial alliances with leaders at local, national, and international levels.
The Lazaridis School offers programs on Laurier’s Waterloo and Brantford campuses, as well as offices in Toronto.
In Kitchener-Waterloo, our students have the opportunity to live and work in the most vibrant startup community in Canada, according to USA Today. Laurier’s Waterloo campus is surrounded by a community of intelligent neighbours who are fuelling our nation’s prosperity with bold ideas and new possibilities. Google, BlackBerry, OpenText, Vidyard, and thousands of other tech companies are here. Our grads manage the technology, and so will you – through co-op, volunteering, or a full-time job. You might even find yourself starting your own company through our Startup Lab program.
The following undergraduate and professional master's programs are housed on the Waterloo campus:
As well as the following research-based graduate programs:
Our newest undergraduate program, the Bachelor of Business Technology Management, is located in the downtown core of Brantford. Students in downtown Brantford are close to shops, cafés, walking and biking trails, and a diverse arts and entertainment scene.
Since 1999, our downtown Toronto location has operated in the heart of the financial district at Vantage Venues on the 27th floor of the Sun Life Financial Tower. Students can enrol in the part-time alternate weekend MBA and part-time double degree MBA and Master of Finance.
For almost two decades, Laurier has been a leader in entrepreneurship education and is a founding partner of Communitech, Waterloo Region’s leading innovation centre. Laurier’s business incubator, StartUp Lab, provides support and resources for student and alumni entrepreneurs.
From the main entrance to Lazaridis Hall, visitors turning to the right will find two large rooms, each approximately 9 metres by 9 metres with 4.5-metre ceilings. Both have floor-to-ceiling glass walls facing the atrium, designed to encourage drop-in observation and activity. The first space – a hub for entrepreneurship – is home to the StartUp Lab business incubator.
Next to our StartUp Lab incubator space, is the dedicated student club space. Laurier currently has 25 business and economics clubs on campus with more than 2,300 business students participating in their many activities. These clubs provide outstanding opportunities for students to test their skills against other students on campus, across the country and around the world. A math tutorial space is next to the student club space.
